Abstract

This research aims to analyze the mathematical literacy test as a problem-solving ability assessment of junior high school students. In addition, it also aims to evaluate students’ mathematical literacy skills. This research is qualitative descriptive research. The method of collecting data used were questionnaire and question items testing students’ problem-solving and mathematical literacy. The results discussed in this research are assessments of validity, reliability, level of difficulty, and discrimination power of test items. Aspects measured about mathematical literacy was students’ ability of creative thinking, critical thinking, reasoning, determining solving strategies, communication, giving reasons, using mathematical tools and evaluating the results.
