Abstract
The cheap and edible sucrose is employed as an electrolyte additive for aqueous zinc-ion batteries. Due to the weakened solvated structure of Zn 2+ and the SEI-like ion buffer layer, the side reactions and Zn dendrites can be effectively inhibited.
