Abstract

We propose a dynamical scoto-seesaw mechanism using a gauged <a:math xmlns:a="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><a:mi>B</a:mi><a:mo>−</a:mo><a:mi>L</a:mi></a:math> symmetry. Dark matter is reconciled with neutrino mass generation, in such a way that the atmospheric scale arises , while the solar scale is , arising radiatively from the exchange of “dark” states. This way we “explain” the solar-to-atmospheric scale ratio. The TeV-scale seesaw mediator and the two dark fermions carry different <c:math xmlns:c="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><c:mi>B</c:mi><c:mo>−</c:mo><c:mi>L</c:mi></c:math> charges. Dark matter stability follows from the residual matter parity that survives <e:math xmlns:e="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><e:mi>B</e:mi><e:mo>−</e:mo><e:mi>L</e:mi></e:math> breaking. Besides having collider tests, the model implies sizable charged lepton flavor violating (cLFV) phenomena, including Goldstone boson emission processes.
