Abstract

Change and adaptation are the phenomena of life.
\nThroughout the existence of life on earth, biological systems
\nhave adapted and changed physiologically and morphologically
\nto acquire a homeostasis most suitable for the demands
\nof the environment. The genetic composition is interchangeable
\namong organisms, and the expressions of traits are the
\nresponse genes in combination to biological requirements.
\nHuman interventions changed a plethora of gene expressions
\nby direct selection including hunting, domestication, and
\nselecting for desirable traits. Human interventions on the biological
\nworld are moving rapidly from direct to indirect interventions
\nthrough overutilization of resources and secondary
\neffects of industrial development on the earth’s ecosystems.
