Abstract

In this study, a Al 2 O 3 –ZrO 2 –SiO2 slurry was prepared as a coating material, which formed an alumina–zirconia–mullite composite coating after sintering. A zirconia substrate was coated using the alumina–zirconia–mullite composite in order to enhance its strength via compressive residual stress.
