Abstract
Instability in nanofluids is an important obstacle to their widespread use in industries, especially heat transfer systems. In this study, articles related to nanofluid stability have been comprehensively reviewed to research the impacts of different parameters affecting nanofluid stability. Acidity degree of the nanofluid, nanoparticles material, ultrasonication, surfactants, base fluid type, nanoparticle concentration and surface modification of nanoparticles are some of the most significant factors, which have a role in the stability estate of various nanofluids. This study can be considered as a useful reference for addressing the long-term stability and production of high-quality nanofluids, which are essential demands for prosperous industrial use.
