Abstract
This research paper explores the potential of multisensory interaction design to enhance emotional engagement in virtual reality (VR) cinematic experiences. With VR technology becoming increasingly prevalent, there is a growing interest in creating immersive narratives that evoke powerful emotional responses. The challenge lies in effectively leveraging the multisensory capabilities of VR to deepen emotional engagement. This paper proposes a framework that combines theoretical foundations from emotional psychology, human-computer interaction, and sensory design to guide the development of multi-sensory interactions in VR cinematic experiences. This research aims to provide insights into the design principles, techniques, and considerations for creating emotionally impactful VR cinematic experiences through a comprehensive review of existing literature and case studies.
