Abstract
A facile boron induced electron-withdrawing/donating strategy is demonstrated to regulate the electronic configuration of Fe–N 4 sites in Fe–N–C catalysts to optimize the absorption/desorption of oxygen intermediates during the oxygen reduction reaction.
