Abstract

-1,4-cyclohexylene bridge is instrumental for the successful isolation of this dicationic diradical. Notably, in the case of ethylene or propylene bridged bis-NHC-CAAC dimers, the corresponding dicationic diradicals are transient and rearrange to hydrogen abstracted products.
