Path Loss Measurement for Wireless Communication in Industrial Environments

Abstract
The multipath propagation includes both the moving and stationary interference between the transmitter and receiver in industrial environments. It is not straightforward to get access to the industrial environments for the study of the wireless environment. This work takes the measurements from the earlier work of the multi-wall-multi-floor (MWF) environment from Myanmar to model the industrial environment. This paper considers the case of the sugar plant and purified sugar machine room to understand the interference caused due to moving and stationary objects in the plant. The path loss depiction of the MWF model of the industrial environment and the multistoried building is investigated. Moreover, the channel impulse response of the fading scenarios is also presented. The path loss estimation of the sugar plant environment is found to be 25 % higher than that of the multistoried building.
