Abstract
The second coordination sphere effect of benzothiophene groups could facilitate the chain transfer in iminopyridyl Ni( ii )/Pd( ii )-catalyzed ethylene (co)oligomerization, in contrast to the phenomenon observed in the corresponding α-diimine system.
