Risks of Increase in the IoT Devices

Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) involves various objects and communication methods. IoT manufacturers are continually creating new devices that are unprecedented in the past analysis. The security of IoT involves different aspects including confidentiality, integrity, and authentication. However, most of the current risk assessment methodologies are for general-purpose software systems and hence lack a holistic approach for assessing risks in IoT systems especially due to the diversity of IoT systems. This paper discusses the risks related to continually increasing IoT devices and the cautionary measures to consider in developing these devices.
