Abstract

The fragility of the chiral surface current in the (${d}_{z\phantom{\rule{0}{0ex}}x}$ + $i\phantom{\rule{0}{0ex}}{d}_{y\phantom{\rule{0}{0ex}}z}$)-wave superconductor is theoretically demonstrated. The robustness of the chiral surface current is determined by whether the subdominant $s$-wave Cooper pairs are present at the surface.
