Abstract

An alkali–metal selenate nonlinear optical (NLO) crystal, Na<sub>5</sub>(SeO<sub>4</sub>)(HSeO<sub>4</sub>)<sub>3</sub>(H<sub>2</sub>O)<sub>2</sub>, which possesses good second-order nonlinear optical properties, has been obtained by mild<italic>in situ</italic>hydrothermal synthesis.
