Abstract
In the course of the study, we analyzed the negative impact of mining and processing as well iron and steel plants on the environment. It appears that the efficiency of the mining-engineering system can be improved through the integrated development of natural and man-made resources. The economic and energy efficiency of the pipeline system was considered. Various aspects reducing energy consumption during pipeline transportation of pulp from the area of preparation to the area of consumption were studied. Relationships between the pulp pressure and the concentration of solids in hydraulic pipeline transport were determined.
