Abstract
A NIR fluorescent probe (DDAO-Cu), capable of crossing the blood–brain barrier, revealed that Cu 2+ was enriched in the cortex, hippocampus, and striatum during the advanced stages of Parkinson's disease, but suppressed in the substantia nigra region.
