Abstract

We propose a defect-rich Mo 1.33 C 0.9 B 0.1 MXene electrocatalyst, where the synergistic effect between high-valence Mo sites and the empty-orbital-rich B dopant boosts nitrate adsorption, accelerating the multiple-electron transfer dynamics.
