Mathematical Modeling and Analysis of Single-Diode, Double-Diode and Triple Diode based PV Module
Arjun Kumar, Ruchi Agarwal
Abstract
The paper shows modeling of different number of diodes i.e. single diode model (SDM), double diode model (DDM), and triple diode model (TDM) based PV system configuration. The performances of each configuration are analyzed in simulated results. The changes in environmental conditions, i.e., irradiation and temperature are applied and collectively presented in the curves to show comparative output of each configuration. The ideality factor and series resistance are considered variable factor to get clear prospect of the configurations. The awareness of I-V and P-V curve of different diode based configurations helps the manufacturers to design the optimal PV module to achieve maximum power solar output.
