Abstract

This paper aims to show a way to use augmented reality to retrofit a production machine. Augmented reality is implemented using Microsoft HoloLens. In a case study, a way was researched how to help the machine user to do the right things in the right sequence in order to save time and cost. Sometimes the sequences in a setup process are not clearly structured. With the help of HoloLens, the user gets a kind of navigation system. This navigation system can also be edited to retrofit a production machine where a user manual is not more available.
