Abstract
In the field of polyoxometalate (POM) chemistry, organophosphonate covalently modified polyoxometalates (OCMPs) have recently emerged as a promising research frontier. These hybrid materials not only expand the structural diversity of conventional POM derivatives and effectively address the inherent stability limitations of POMs, but also enable the engineering of superior properties through function-oriented design for diverse applications. However, a systematic review focusing on OCMPs remains notably lacking. This review provides a comprehensive overview of recent advances in OCMPs research, with particular emphasis on their structural characteristics, associated functional properties, and future research directions.
