Abstract
Periostin caused arterial calcification, overactivated glycolysis, and damaged OXPHOS. PPARγ agonists alleviated periostin-promoted arterial calcification and corrected abnormal glycolysis and unbalanced mitochondrial homeostasis. There exists a relationship between periostin and lactate in patients with CAC.
