Abstract
This is the first study to prospectively assess the effects of sulfhydryl antihypertensive treatment on microvascular endothelial function in adults with hypertension. Our data suggest that 16 wk of SH-ACE-inhibitor antihypertensive treatment improves cutaneous microvascular endothelium-dependent vasodilation in middle-aged adults with hypertension, in part via H 2 S-dependent mechanisms.
