Abstract
As an emerging ambient energy harvesting technology, triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) have been proven as robust power sources. Here, we reported a novel functional triboelectric nanogenerator based on the soft-foam (S-TENG). In this work, the soft-foam and the polyvinyl chloride (PVC) tape are used as the triboelectric materials, and the conductive copper is used as the conductive electrode. The fabricated S-TENG can be developed for mechanical energy harvesting, and the fabricated S-TENG can be used for postoperative rehabilitation monitoring of foot. The S-TENG can be placed in shoes to monitor the contact effect of foot, especially for the monitoring of foot postoperative recovery. This study presents a potential portable TENG device for practical and medical applications.
