Abstract
The kinetics of alkaline hydrogen evolution of Co(OH)<sub>2</sub>/c-WN<sub>1−x</sub> was synergistically promoted by Co(OH)<sub>2</sub> that facilitated the adsorption and dissociation of H<sub>2</sub>O and c-WN<sub>1−x</sub> that accelerated hydrogen generation by optimizing Δ<italic>G</italic><sub>H*</sub>.
