Software Development for Placing Tiles in Two-Dimensional Space

Abstract
Tiles are widely used for road's and pavement's surface decoration. In this work tiles relocation software on two-dimensional picture was developed. The idea is to improve tile arrangement and minimize resources. To achieve that, main method of the program employs combinatorial optimization. It is wide stream of similar operations, which can be performed independently. Several various algorithms were implemented to achieve distinct aims, dependent on user's needs. Work present implementation based on CPU and GPU computing. Using this, solution evaluation process provided. During the evaluation process it became clear that GPU parallelization algorithms are much more effective to solve the task, but still couldn't work without CPU.
