Abstract

This paper proposes a newly developed model for real-time Smart Wastewater Monitoring System (SWMS) in Bangladesh using Internet of Things (IoT). Various industries have individual production schemes and using different types of chemicals and raw materials. Besides this, the untreated effluent from the industries rapidly pollutes directly and indirectly the water security. In order to overcome the above problems, the proposed SWMS has newly been developed in Bangladesh that is formulated by microcontroller connected with five smart sensors, such as, Temperature, pH, Turbidity, Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) and Dissolved Oxygen (DO). Moreover, the proposed model uses a GSM-GPRS module to transfer data to a web server. With a view to evolving this project, a website has been developed with domain http://swwmbd.com/ for a continuous online data monitoring. For security purposes, the web page contains the authorize ID and password. Furthermore, the data have been arranged in a table format and the upper and lower limit of the parameters has been fixed up by filtering. Finally, the proposed model successfully obtained the desired results that are presented on the website and found analytical.
