Abstract

The rapid development of energy storage technology has provided tremendous support for the energy transition in countries worldwide. Salt cavern energy storage, as a form of energy storage technology, has gained widespread attention due to its large storage capacity and broad distribution. Therefore, this paper primarily discusses the current research status of salt cavern energy storage technology, with a focus on analyzing its classifications, advantages, disadvantages, and the challenges and countermeasures associated with its development. This study aims to promote further advancement in salt cavern energy storage technology.
