Abstract

Global health is at a critical juncture due to recent shifts in foreign policies of high-income countries, especially US policies under the new Trump administration. Global health researchers, advocacy organisations, and governments have rightly raised the alarm about the profound adverse effects: put simply, these actions will be responsible for a large number of deaths. However, like Ntobeko Ntusi, we believe that these unsettling disruptions could create an opportunity to decolonise global health as it is rebuilt, fostering a more equitable system for funding, collaboration, and benefit-sharing among partners.
