Abstract

After publication of the article "Prevalence of heart failure and left ventricular dysfunction in China: the China Hypertension Survey, 2012-2015", 1 some concerns were raised regarding estimated size of the Chinese population with HF.After obtaining the prevalence (1.3%) of the Chinese adult population aged ≥35 years, we incorrectly used the Chinese adult population aged ≥18 years, instead of age ≥ 35 years, to estimate the size of the Chinese population with HF.As a result, the estimated Chinese population aged ≥35 years with HF was wrongly 13.7 million. The correct number should be 8.9 million. Therefore, on page 1329, 1333, and 1336 of this article, the corresponding numbers should be corrected as follows: "estimated 13.7 million" should be "estimated 8.9 million".
