Abstract
Hybrid chemosensors, based on a pyridine-2,6-dicarboxamide fragment while containing a 4-nitrobenzoxadiazole group, are used for the sensing of Al<sup>3+</sup> and Fe<sup>3+</sup> ions where detection was significantly controlled by the selection of a solvent.
