Abstract
We report the properties of Cadmium oxide thin film prepared by sol gel syringe technique which is very economical and sophisticated method. The prepared film is characterised by X-ray diffraction (XRD) by employing Rietvield software programme for structural analysis. Scanning electron microscope identifies porous morphology. The optical study is carried by using UV–visible absorbance from this direct band gap is calculated of prepared film i,e., 2.43eV.The I–V measurement is done by using two probe technique and CdO film shows semiconductor behaviour of activation energy 0.33eV with electrical conductivity in the order of 10 -3 Ω cm.
