Abstract
Point estimation was used to estimate the reliability of Transmuted Inverse Rayleigh distribution through five estimation methods, which are the Least Squares method, Cramer-Von Mises method, Linear Regression method, Percentile method and Maximum Likelihood method. The required evidence was generated to find the estimators through simulation for four different experiments of parameter values and sample sizes. The obtained estimations were compared using the mean square error criterion. The results appeared, in general, that the Percentile method is the best when the value of the transmuted parameter is less than zero and the maximum likelihood method is the best when the value of the transmuted parameter is greater than zero.
