Abstract

The main aim of this work is to free vibration analysis of isotropic spherical cap and FG-spherical cap with cut out and impact of power law index on natural frequency of spherical cap with cut out also discussed. Effort has been made to focus the discussion on the various research studies carried out for free modal analysis of isotropic spherical cap and spherical cap with cut out. In present analysis, material properties are varying continuously in the thickness direction from bottom surface (metal rich) to top surface (ceramic rich) according to power law distribution. Results for clamped-clamped and free-free boundary conditions are presented. The presented results are validated by comparing the results with the results presented in published work. The finite element software COMSOL MULTIPHYSICS 5.4 is used to obtain a natural Frequencies and mode shapes.
