Abstract
A novel model of the “photonic crystal fiber (PCF)” “surface plasmon resonance (SPR)” biosensor is presented in this work. The sensor is designed in a manner that it can develop eight cores. The sensor can detect analytes, chemicals, heavy metals embedded water samples, water samples, etc. The metal deposition technique at the outer end of the PCF is used in the “proposed sensor design” to deposit plasmonic material. Sensor parameters are calculated in terms of “wavelength sensitivity,” “amplitude sensitivity,” “sensor resolution,” “linear relationship between refractive index and resonance wavelength.” Finally, the designed sensor has presented reasonable sensing parameters better than the reported sensors in recent times.
