Abstract
A series of FeCoOOH HNCs were constructed via controlled Co doping; the right amount of Co doping can lower the energy barrier of *N 2 → *NNH → *NNHH, induced by the preferential proton adsorption on Co sites to drive NH 3 electrosynthesis.
