Mobility Assessment in Older Adults
Kirstyn James, Andrea Wershof Schwartz, Ariela R. Orkaby
Abstract
A change in mobility or walking speed may indicate frailty and a risk of falls, especially in an older person. This video demonstrates a focused mobility assessment, including the four-stage balance test, a gait-speed measurement test, and the chair stand test, in which the patient is asked to stand up from a chair.
