Abstract
This brief focuses on observability and recontructibility of Boolean control networks (BCNs) via the semi-tensor product of matrices. To solve the problems, for a given BCN, an augmented BCN is constructed. By partitioning the state-space of the augmented BCN, observability and recontructibility of the given BCN are equivalently converted to set controllability of the augmented BCN. Using the set controllability approach, criteria for observability and recontructibility of BCNs are obtained respectively. Compared with the existing results, the criteria proposed in this brief are easy to check. The effectiveness of the results is verified both theoretically through mathematical derivations and practically by an illustrative example.
