Abstract
Gastric cancer is becoming a worldwide concern as it is the fourth leading cause of cancer-related deaths. It is a disease that is dependent on several factors. This paper presents a review on the detection of gastric cancer and highlights the various risk factors involved. Also, the incidence and mortality rates have been studied. A detailed assessment is presented on gastric cancer detection involving machine learning and deep learning techniques and the applicability of these systems. Comparative analysis shows a need to improve the system accuracy and the detection of disease as early as possible. Early detection may help in preventing the spreading of the disease and reducing its severity.
