The COVID-19 Pandemic: A Reflection of the Human Adventure in the Anthropocene
Renaud Hétier, Nathanaël Wallenhorst
Abstract
Abstract The Covid-19 crisis is testing human societies. It is obviously first and foremost a health problem – it causes deaths and numerous diseases – but it is also an economic problem – it is expensive, it weighs on the usual economic functioning – and finally, it is a hindrance to freedom – circulation, sociality, vaccination, etc. – and to the development of the human condition. This crisis highlights the interdependence between the environment, the economy and freedom, and reveals our condition and its future.
