Abstract
Dynamic Surface Chemistry of Catalysts Dynamic surface chemistry controls the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) under a given set of electrocatalytic servicing conditions. In article number 2100011, Zongkui Kou, Xin Li, Xiaorui Gao, John Wang, and co-workers review two competing processes, reversible and irreversible reconstruction, where the balance is affected by both the pre-catalyst internal and externally applied field factors. To develop efficient and durable electrocatalysts for OER, real-time in-situ and operando techniques, with multiscale computational studies are discussed.
