Abstract

Human health encompasses physical, mental, and social well-being, requiring a holistic approach to maintain and improve. Modern health monitoring leverages the Internet of Things (IoT) to provide real-time data on vital signs, transforming healthcare practices. These devices transmit data to healthcare providers or store it in cloud systems for trend analysis, allowing for proactive health management. The advent of IoT technology has revolutionized the healthcare sector, particularly in monitoring and ensuring human health and safety. This research study presents a novel privacy-enabled human health and safety monitoring system using IoT with smart wearable devices. The proposed system integrates wearable sensors, gateway devices, an IoT cloud platform, and mobile/web applications to provide continuous, real-time monitoring of vital health metrics. The system ensures data privacy and security through homomorphic encryption, blockchain-based access control, and multi-factor authentication. Comparative analysis demonstrates the system’s superior performance in terms of accuracy, efficiency, and data security, achieving an accuracy rate of up to 97% in anomaly detection.
