Abstract
Recent progress on cathode catalysts, semiconductor photocathodes, singlet oxygen ( 1 O 2 ) quenchers, and electrolytes in Li–O 2 batteries is discussed, and perspectives on the remaining challenges and future development for Li–O 2 batteries are provided.
