Abstract
The first example of a ferromagnetic Ni(<sc>ii</sc>)–Cr(<sc>iii</sc>) single-chain magnet fashioned using pentagonal bipyramidal Ni(<sc>ii</sc>) complexes with Ising-type anisotropy.
