Abstract

This paper focuses on switched-capacitor dual-topology converter (SCDTC) and it is designed for different voltage levels and multiple stages. A single input DC source with 3 diodes, 3 capacitors and 14 switches are used to generate maximum voltage levels. The SCDTC topology is designed for two configurations such as DC-DC and DC-AC without reconfiguring the circuit design. The DC-DC topology provides multiple conversion ratios and DC-AC topology designed to generate double boosting of the input voltage without reconfiguring the SCDTC topology. The designed converter is simulated using MATLAB/Simulink. The efficiency of the proposed converter is in the range of 90% considering both the configurations. In SCDTC, DC-DC configuration is capable to generate both step-up & step-down voltages.
