Permanently polarized hydroxyapatite for selective electrothermal catalytic conversion of carbon dioxide into ethanol

Abstract
The selective production of ethanol has been achieved by fixing carbon from CO<sub>2</sub> and CH<sub>4</sub>. The reaction, which is based on the electro-reduction of CO<sub>2</sub>, is catalysed by polarized hydroxyapatite and occurs under mild reaction conditions.
