Two-Level-System Dynamics in a Superconducting Qubit Due to Background Ionizing Radiation

Abstract
The effects of ionizing radiation on superconducting qubits are studied, showing that the two-level systems near a qubit can be ``scrambled,'' resulting in long-lasting changes to the lifetime of the qubit.
