Abstract

The direction of arrival (DOA) of monostatic multiple input multiple output (MIMO) radar wave for uniform linear array is studied, and a real valued root MUSIC method based on unitary transformation is proposed. Based on the traditional MUSIC method, this method constructs the real covariance matrix by unitary transformation, and then decomposes the real eigenvalues to obtain the noise subspace. By constructing a polynomial, the root method is used to replace the spectral peak search in the traditional MUSIC method. The root obtained by the polynomial is the DOA estimation of the target. This method does not need to search for spectral peak, and the computation is greatly reduced. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the method.
