Abstract

Before the communication technology was mature, the ambulance was only used as a transport tool for emergency patients to ensure that the patient's vital signs were stable before arriving at the hospital. With the advent of the 5G era, the use of 5G's high-speed, low-latency, and large connection characteristics can transform the ambulance into a mobile information platform, which will greatly optimize the entire process of pre-hospital care in the ambulance. This paper presents the overall architecture of a framework of 5G mobile-health services for ambulances. This will enable the doctors in-hospital to remotely assist and guide the ambulance crew to provide initial medical care to in-ambulance patients.
