Abstract
The interplay between non-Hermiticity and disorder gives rise to unique universality classes of phase transitions and critical phenomena. Here, the authors develop effective field theory of non-Hermitian disordered systems and classify the universality classes across all the symmetry classes of non-Hermitian systems. The authors demonstrate that the phase transition characteristic of nonreciprocal disordered systems originates from the competition between kinetic and topological terms from the field-theoretical perspective.
