Abstract
Liquid Crystal Soft Actuators Combining liquid crystal actuators and existing technologies of virtual reality and augmented reality will produce a new world of mixed reality with visual, auditory, and somatosensory interactions. In article number 2009835, Yanlei Yu and co-workers review the latest progress of liquid crystal actuators in the aspects of mechanical outputs, environmental mimicry, and fine-tuning of surface textures and roughness, which accelerates the development of mixed reality toward practical applications.
